My inclination towards the arts and humanities has consistently influenced my life’s work. I grew up in Queens and Long Island attended Nassau Community College and graduated from Alfred University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in sculpture.
I lived on the Lower East Side of Manhattan after graduating, working as a bike messenger, house painter/plasterer, superintendent of an apartment building, artist assistant, and started a custom welding business.
I moved to Brooklyn and welded for a Union Broadway scenery shop as well as at the Metropolitan Opera. I became a union stagehand, doing carpentry and welding on Broadway, and finally became a Head Propmaster on Broadway in 2005.
I moved to Putnam Valley in 1999 and retired in 2020. I am a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Cortlandt as well as an active member of The Poor People’s Campaign.
I am driven to be engaged in community work and activism with the goal of making the world a better, more just, place.
